Roscoe: Bitter In Defeat?

No way. Even though Roscoe’s Kielbasa Reuben was the only sandwich to earn a perfect score from one judge (clearly a man with discerning perception and taste, intelligent, worldly, held in high esteem by all) , the overall tally betrayed him. And considering the competition, there were no losers.

Sandy’s Pastrami Reuben Takes The Title

Not only is Roscoe’s sister a Pizza Master and a Mole’ Master, now she’s the Reuben Master. And if you’d tasted it, you couldn’t argue. Thin slices of lean pastrami with caramelized onion on one side of the meat, layered with cheese and kraut, then topped with more cheese, all on honey mustard toasted marble rye.

But They Were All Great

And that’s an understatement. After tasting them all, Roscoe had to admit – even before the announcement of the winner – that he wouldn’t want to be a judge in this contest. All the sandwiches had a uniqueness that made them special and delicious.

Z-Man Might Be Bitter

After all, he issued the challenge, and traveled a long way – from Florida – only to lose. But as Roscoe said: “Everyone won today”(except the judge that ruined Roscoe’s score – Roscoe’s nephew – who is now out of the will; but remember: Roscoe’s not bitter).

And really, it doesn’t matter who wins, because no matter who throws down, who wins, who loses, the Cookin’ With Roscoe goal is always achieved: we make our food taste good. New techniques, new approaches, new styles, new tastes: you can’t go wrong when…
