I'm always a fan of Tequila, but for the last few months, I've been on a whiskey/bourbon kick, so set me up with some Knob Creek or Maker's Mark on the rocks and I'm happy.

My favorite margarita (Roscoe knows these):
Juice of one lime
1t to 1T Agave Nectar (depending on how sweet or tart your lime is)
1 shot Triple Sec or Cointreau
3 shots good Tequila of your choice (1 shot reserved)
Combine lime juice, Agave Nectar, Triple Sec and 2 shots of the Tequila in a shaker over ice. Shake vigorously until well mixed and ice cold. Either strain into a cocktail glass (with or without salt, garnish with lime twist) or pour the entire contents of the shaker (ice and all) into a pint glass. Drink the reserved shot (hey, you earned it, right?) and enjoy your margarita. :D
Note: Agave Nectar is a sweetener, similar to honey, derived from the Agave plant. It can be found in most supermarkets, or a store such as Whole Foods.

I can testify to the quality of a Chef Boy margarita, one of the best, shaken not blended. Now I'm glad to have the recipe. Might have to break out the shaker for the Super Bowl.
